Patient Care

alt text

The main goal of the Yale Brain Tumor Center is to provide excellence in comprehensive and interdisciplinary care for patients with brain tumors and cancer-related neurological problems.

Most brain tumor patients are treated by a team of doctors. The surgeon removes the tumor or performs a biopsy. The radiation oncologist provides radiation treatment. The neuro-oncologist or the medical oncologist give chemotherapy.

We take every effort to make our patients’ visits with us as efficient as possible. We arrange office appointments with various members of our team in a way that limits your total number of visits to Yale to a minimum.

Work-up and treatment of brain tumors can be quite complicated and at times overwhelming for patients. The information on this page is supposed to prepare your first visit with us, keep you organized, help you find our offices and places where diagnostic procedures are performed, and provide you with general information about brain tumors and brain tumor therapy.
